A proud Texas native, Shanell is driven by a passion for advocacy and community service. She graduated Ampla Cum Laude from the University of Texas at Austin with a Bachelor of Arts in Urban Studies and Sustainability Studies, along with a minor in Interior Design. She then earned her Juris Doctorate from St. Mary’s University School of Law, where she excelled as a member of the National Mock Trial Team and Board of Advocates, competing nationwide and earning recognition as a National Member of the Order of Barristers. Committed to serving others, Shanell completed over 100 hours of pro bono work to disadvantaged persons, earning the Pro Bono and Public Service Award. Her dedication to justice and client advocacy was further recognized through the Watkins Workhorse Award for academic perseverance.
